The Latest From Preschool!

The Preschool class this year is having a lot of fun and learning about our different holidays. Last week Rabbi Burstein came and talked to us about Havdalah services and we made a spice box to take home.  Every week we sing songs with the Kindergartners, read a story about what we are learning about and do an art project.  This Sunday we will learn about Tu B’Shevat.  We are going to decorate cupcakes and sing Happy Birthday to the trees.  We are also going to plant parsley that we will be able to use at our Passover seder.  Please stop in to see us and see all the amazing things we are doing!

Be aware regarding the flu!

Many people are concerned about the flu as children head back to school this winter. TBO Religious School staff will have hand sanitizer in their classrooms, and all classrooms will be sanitized weekly. Staff will also model good health hygiene/etiquette, encouraging students to wash hands, cover coughs and sneezes, and not to share personal items. You can help us keep TBO healthy by following these guidelines:

  • Please keep your child home if they are sick and have a fever over 100 degrees.
  • Please keep your children home for 24 hours AFTER their temperature returns to below 100 degrees without fever reducing drugs.
  • Please encourage healthy practices with your children, such as handwashing, covering when coughing or sneezing and not sharing personal items.
  • Know the signs and symptoms of the flu. Symptoms of the flu include fever (100 degrees or greater), cough, sore throat, a runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, and feeling very tired. Some people may also vomit or have diarrhea.
